Kate specialises in both business development and programme delivery in the South East Asia region, and coordinates the Carbon Trust’s broader engagements with the Green Climate Fund (GCF). She supports the delivery of the Carbon Trust’s work in energy access in Africa, including as a gender and social inclusiveness advisor for the DFID-funded Transforming Energy Access programme, and programme management for a Green Mini-Grids project for the African Development Bank.
Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Kate worked at the Environment Department at United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in Vienna, and at an environmental consultancy in Indonesia. With a background in corporate and project finance, she has also worked as a financial analyst for a global wind farm developer headquartered in Australia.
Kate has an MA in Environmental Management and Development from the Crawford School of Public Policy (Distinction, & University Medal) and a Bachelor of Commerce (International Business & Finance), both from the Australian National University. She has a Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting and has completed the Frankfurt School’s course: ‘Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance’.
