Call for entries from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study for the OWA Foundations Technical Working Group (TWG-F) to investigate the influence of scour protection on the dynamic performance of the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) support structures. The study will also analyse potential reasons for the underestimation of seabed support stiffness and investigate options for making adequate predictions.
The objectives of this study are to:
- Examine the influence of scour protection on the dynamic performance of the WTG supporting structure.
- To formulate simplified methods to assess the influence of the scour protection on natural frequency and vibration modes.
- To analyse the potential causes for underestimation of seabed support stiffness and investigate and propose options for making adequate and accurate predictions.
