Path to net zero emissions

The British Embassy Vienna and the United Kingdom’s Department for International Trade, cordially invite you to attend the "Path To Net Zero Emissions" event, co-hosted with the Carbon Trust.

Her Majesty’s Government has made a significant new environmental commitment. A world-leading legally binding target, requiring the UK to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions from across our economy by 2050, will bring an end to the UK’s contribution to global warming.

Join us to hear about the importance of building a sustainable and carbon-free future, where private enterprise will play a leading role in the innovation, recovery and restoration needed to avoid environmental collapse. The event will focus on potential ‘paths’ to net zero emissions and aims to highlight practical ways to reach this target – showcasing best practice examples of Austrian and British companies.

Myles McCarthy, Managing Director of Implementation Services, Carbon Trust will deliver the opening keynote and join the panel discussion.

Wherever you work, whatever sector you work in, you can make a difference by embracing clean technologies, reducing our impact on land, respecting the ocean as a resource that belongs to us all, eliminating waste as far as possible and reinventing the model of ‘business as usual’.

Please note this event is for invited guests and corporate stakeholders only.
