Submissions now open for ISO 50001 Energy Management Leadership Awards 2018

In May 2018, top winners will be honored at the ninth Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM9) hosted across Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden. CEM9 brings together energy ministers and high-level officials from 24 member countries and the European Commission, helping to accelerate the global transition towards a clean energy future.

These global awards recognise leading organisations for their energy management achievements and use of ISO 50001 to address energy and climate challenges. Top 2017 winners included the Spanish insurer, Mutua Madrileña, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, and Arabian Cement Company. In addition to this a total of 34 organizations received Energy Management Insight Awards for helping to build awareness of ISO 50001.

Any organisation in the industrial, commercial, or public sector with a current ISO 50001 certification issued by an accredited body is eligible to enter. All organisations that submit qualifying entries will have their case studies shared online to act as a resource and inspiration for businesses, governments, and other organisations, helping to build global insight on the benefits of energy management systems.

ISO 50001 certification offers a transparent, business-friendly way to align corporate goals with national climate and energy goals.

The submission deadline for the awards is 24 January 2018. For information on how to apply visit: www.cleanenergyministerial.org/EMAwards.
