In 2019, the UK government committed to cutting greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050, becoming the first major economy to enshrine such a commitment in law.

With industry responsible for around one fifth of total UK greenhouse gas emissions, the development of cutting-edge innovation will be critical to help improve the energy intensity of many industrial processes.

The BEIS Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator (IEEA) is designed to support the demonstration and commercialisation of technologies being developed by small, dynamic UK companies who are well placed to provide the novel solutions that industry will need to decarbonise and future-proof operations.

Webinar series: Bringing energy efficiency technology to industry

In this three-part webinar series, Carbon Trust experts will be joined by guest speakers from a range of technology companies to discuss the importance of innovation and the next wave of technologies being developed to decarbonise industrial processes at the scale and pace needed; the secrets to running effective innovation demonstration projects; and how UK government programmes and industry partnerships have supported the technology innovation journey.
