Sam Strivens

Senior Associate

Sam works in the offshore wind team at the Carbon Trust on both the vessel and access systems workstream of the Offshore Wind Accelerator and the Floating Wind Joint Industry Project. His work focuses on maritime operations, offshore wind, floating offshore wind and low carbon shipping.

Sam comes from a maritime operations background with experience in both skippering crew transfer vessels and vessel management for offshore wind farms in UK waters. Sam has an MSc in Marine Renewable Energy from the University of Plymouth where his research focus was on the installation phase of floating offshore wind turbine platforms, and a BSc in Exploration and Resource Geology from Cardiff University, Wales. Sam also holds a maritime Master 200 certificate issued by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).
