Renata is a Senior Manager in the Carbon Trust Africa office, with over six years' experience in the corporate sustainability space. She joined the Carbon Trust in 2020 and focuses on managing and delivering a variety of projects in the private sector. These include low carbon mining transitions, transition risk assessments, climate change strategy and roadmap development, carbon and climate change reporting practices, and sustainable finance projects.  

Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Renata worked as a corporate sustainability consultant at Deloitte & Touche, focusing on responsible sourcing and conflict mineral advisory and assurance, asset retirement obligation reviews, sustainability assurance and reporting, ESG due diligence and reviews, and social and environmental compliance audits and impact assessments. Renata was the team lead for Deloitte South Africa’s Sustainability Advisory portfolio, was involved in launching the Deloitte Decarbonisation Solution in South Africa to assist companies in decarbonising their operations, and was appointed as Deloitte Client Account Manager for one of the largest multinational mining companies.

Renata holds a MSc in Environmental Science from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Wits Business School, South Africa.
