Ms. Huatian Zhang has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of environment protection and climate change. Before joining the Carbon Trust, she worked in various institutions, including China Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE), listed environmental protection company, and World Resource Institute（Beijing), with rich experiences and close networks with industry platforms and experts. She had been working to combine the comprehensive use of administrative, science and technology, finance and market measures to support sustainable development.

Ms. Zhang holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science Degree (Environmental Sciences) from Peking University of China, and has completed the postgraduate program in Financial Management and Investment Practice from the University of International Business and Economics of China. She is also a visiting scholar of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program in the United States (2008-2009) and the editor of booklet "Hearing Climate Change - Interview  Records During Humphrey Year" based on her interviews with experts from  internationally renowned universities and institutions.
