Celebrating 30 years of corporate climate action with the WBCSD

The Carbon Trust will be participating in the upcoming World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Council Day on Monday 22 September. As the event marks 30 years of driving sustainable business action, we’re looking forward to engaging with global leaders and contributing to the strategic conversations shaping the future of sustainability. This milestone gathering, held during Climate Week NYC, offers a vital platform for collaboration, innovation, and bold action toward a more sustainable world.

The ‘Next Frontiers Group’ in partnership with the WBCSD

We are also working closely with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) on a range of workshops for their member base focused on how to influence internal stakeholders and move forward with implementing transition plans.

One of the in-person workshops, ‘How to make & implement the business case for climate transition’, will be held in partnership between the WBCSD, AB InBev and the Carbon Trust during Climate Week NYC 2025. Designed for senior corporate sustainability decision-makers, the discussion will be centred around two pressing, strategic challenges to decarbonisation facing climate leaders today: how to make the business case for business model innovation, and how to implement transition programme. Join us on the morning of 23 September 2025 to:

  • Take home insights and case studies from expert speakers
  • Work through your strategic challenges in interactive workshops and roundtables
