Dan Dowling, Partner, PwC

Dan leads a wide portfolio of PwC's climate change services across the built environment, infrastructure, energy and government sectors. He brings strengths in strategy, complex problem solving and technical leadership working in the UK and internationally. He has worked extensively on climate change adaptation and resilience with a particular focus on the public-private interface.

With PwC Dan founded and built PwC’s Future Cities group, leading a diverse range of projects and large-scale programmes in over 50 cities. His client work focuses on climate change, urban economic development, innovation, smart technology, sustainable city planning and urban infrastructure investment. He has worked as a strategic adviser to the City of London Corporation, City Hall in Los Angeles and a range of urbanisation policy, planning. Climate change and sustainability projects in East Africa, Middle East, LATAM, Eastern Europe and South Asia.

Prior to joining PwC Dan managed the energy and sustainable master-planning team at global engineering and technical consultancy WSP in both the Middle East and UK having started out in the PPP division of a FTSE 100 utility. Dan holds a M(Res) in the Built Environment, a BSc (hons) in Environmental Bio-Geoscience and a diploma in management from the University of Leeds.

Simon Turek, Managing Director, PNZ Carbon Limited at Carbon Co-op

Simon is co-Founder of the Powering Net Zero (PNZ) Group, which is facilitating the UK’s transition to Net Zero by funding the affordable retrofitting of British homes from the commercial demand for transparent, localised carbon credits. With over 15 years of experience in the carbon and financial markets, Simon leads PNZ Carbon, the only accredited issuer of carbon credits globally for the decarbonisation of housing stock. A qualified lawyer with experience working as a regulator in the UK and European Union, Simon has been involved in the social housing sector since 2010.

Mark Hannay, Chief Operational Officer, Scroll Finance

Mark Hannay, COO, Scroll Finance - Mark has 17 years of professional experience in financial services with a consumer finance focus.

Prior to joining Scroll Finance, Mark co-founded and scaled an FCA authorised unsecured lending operation to a run rate of 30,000+ loans a month. He has also served on the board of one of the largest alternative finance trade bodies in the UK. Mark is an alum of Birkbeck College, University of London and St Anne’s College, University of Oxford.

Mike Teall, Chief Commercial Officer, Snugg

Mike is Chief Commercial Officer of Snugg, responsible for Snugg’s product team and establishing partnerships with banks, utilities and other organisations. He has a background in financial services, having previously worked for Lloyds Banking Group leading the development of digital propositions. He has also spent several years in consultancy, advising on strategy, risk and sustainability.

Jonathan Atkinson, Business Director, Carbon Co-op

Jonathan is co-founder of community energy enterprise Carbon Co-op and in 2021 co-founded retrofit One Stop Shop, People Powered Retrofit. His role as Business Director includes the strategic development of income streams and new service models and most recently he has acted on the One Stop Shop to Retrofit and Finance project, a collaboration with the UK credit union sector funded under the Green Homes Finance Accelerator programme.
