It is now six months since the Financial Stability Board’s Task force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) published its final recommendations. This breakfast briefing, a joint initiative between the Carbon Trust and ICAEW, will examine the opportunities and challenges for organisations looking to implement the TCFD’s recommendations.

This is a joint event with the ICAEW. It is being used to raise awareness of the recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures.

Last January, ICAEW co-hosted a webinar with the TCFD to introduce the recommendations. This breakfast briefing will follow on from this event exploring the challenges and opportunities faced in implementing the recommendations.

This event aligns with ICAEW's vision of 'a world of strong economies ' with specific emphasis on the need for businesses to be both profitable and sustainably minded.

Speakers:

  • Nigel Sleigh-Johnson, Head of Financial Reporting Faculty, ICAEW
  • Russell Picot, Special Advisor, TCFD
  • Hugh Jones, Managing Director, Business Services, Carbon Trust
  • Doug Johnston, Climate Change & Sustainability Services Partner, Ernst & Young
  • Ian Mackintosh, Chairman, Corporate Reporting Dialogue
