We are a trusted, expert guide to Net Zero, bringing purpose led, vital expertise from the climate change frontline. We have been pioneering decarbonisation for more than 20 years for businesses, governments and organisations around the world.
We draw on the experience of over 300 experts internationally, accelerating progress and providing solutions to this existential crisis. We have supported over 3,000 organisations in 50 countries with their climate action planning, collaborating with 150+ partners in setting science-based targets, and supporting cities across 5 continents on the journey to Net Zero.
Our mission is to accelerate the delivery of a sustainable, low carbon economy by helping businesses, governments and organisations across the globe to reduce carbon emissions and achieve greater resource efficiency.
We have been an expert voice on climate change and carbon emissions for almost two decades. From our beginnings as a UK government-backed organisation, we are now a global leader in climate impact reduction, partnering with businesses and organisations worldwide.
Building a sustainable future
The scarcity of resources and the impact of their use mean that the infrastructure, products and services of tomorrow will have to be radically different. We help organisations succeed in this transition.
I lead the Green Finance team, and it’s exciting to work with a wide range of financial institutions to help them figure out how they can be part of the solution to climate change-related challenges. I work with incredibly motivated and talented colleagues who really care about our mission and are always ready to roll up their sleeves to help; it’s the people here at the Carbon Trust that make it special.
I’m really excited to be leading the growth of our African work from our South African office, where, since 2015 we’ve been increasingly working throughout the continent, working on issues of resource efficiency and sustainability. Particularly fascinating is our work on energy access – it’s here that our experience in sustainability and renewable technology can have meaningful impacts not only on climate change, but also on international development.
Carbon Trust provides a lot of things I value in an organisation - interesting and challenging work, friendly environment and freedom to innovate. Underlying all of this is the important mission on decarbonisation that everyone at the Carbon Trust strives towards, this makes the work quite fulfilling.
