Richard has 20 years’ experience working within the climate change sector currently leading a team of over 100 Net Zero transition experts collectively focussed on accelerating the pace and scale of decarbonisation globally. The team spearheads collaborative, cross-sector innovation to drive critical market transformation towards Net Zero - all supported by our advisory services which have become critical to empowering our partners to achieve urgent and ambitious organisational, sector, city, region & industry-wide decarbonisation pathways.

Richard’s experience includes the delivery of policy design advice, the development of large-scale energy efficiency and renewable energy programmes, provision of governance and change management expertise, and the convening of diverse joint-industry programmes designed to help governments, donors, industry, cities and regions address key challenges related to the Net Zero transition.

Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Richard worked in finance before moving to the educational charity sector in East Africa. He studied Law at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and holds an MSc Econ in International Politics.
