Existing Technology: 16MW High Pressure Oil Burner, Mechanical Linkages and Levers used for modulation with Low Turndown ratio of 4:1
New Technology: Provided a 16MW combination Fuelled Burner, Primary fuel: Natural Gas with Secondary fuel Oil. Modulation via a VSD with Burner Management System via a touchscreen, HDMI interface Low pressure burner with a 10:1 turndown ratio. Achieving a 15% fuel savings.

A Vulcan Burner Management System was installed to the Customers existing burner, The modulation linkages and levers were removed from the burner. A VSD was installed to operate the blower motor which was all controlled via the Burner Management System using the HDMI touchscreen. kW savings of approximately 10%.
The Vulcan Burner was installed and from day one fuel savings was evident. Combined with the innovated design of the burner which affords ease of maintenance and repair together with the intuitive controls made the burner our first choice for this project.
