Case Study - GWP Group

Existing technology: 400W Metal Halide High Bay Light Units in the Production Area and Warehouses. The offices had 600x600 T8 Fluorescent Panels, and the corridors and staff rooms had T8 4ft Fluorescent units installed. These lights were frequently failing and when installed at heights of 6m access was difficult. Low LUX levels also posed a risk to health and safety across in the warehouse and on the production floor.

Solution: LEDlights4you replaced the 400W Metal Halides with 150W Philips LED high bay tubes 150Lm/W and 150W Philips LED Disc Lights 150L/W with a TUV 10 year warranty and ETL compliant

In the offices LEDlights4you reduced the number of panels by 30% with 40W LED panels 100Lm/W which had a 5 year warranty.

Capital cost: £35,000

Energy saving: £11,500 after year one, £60,674 by year 5.

Payback: 34 months

Carbon saving: 14 tCO2e
