About the Company

iESCo provide and install Voltage Power Optimisation technology, powerPerfector. Installing a powerPerfector ensures energy, cost and carbon savings by efficiently optimising a building’s electrical supply. This allows equipment to operate more efficiently and consume less energy whilst the embedded power conditioning benefits make a powerPerfector ideal for increasing business security.

Accredited technology groups: Voltage management

Case Study - The Castle Hotel, Taunton

Existing technology: Following a desktop analysis voltage logging was carried out across the whole site. Voltages were as high as 245 Volts therefore an opportunity was established. The equipment throughout the site was evaluated during the site survey and a proposal was formulated which highlighted the potential for a powerPerfector installation.

Solution: A 175kVA powerPerfector unit was installed to cover the whole site. It was estimated that the powerPerfector would save around 8% of the sites total electricity consumption as well as offering additional benefits such as improved power factor and extending the life of equipment on site by reducing the voltages to around 220 Volts.

Capital cost: £13,000

Annual cost saving: £4,900

Annual energy saving (kWh): 51,676

Project payback: 2.7 years or 38% ROI

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of everyone involved from the initial site evaluation through to the delivery and final connection of the powerPerfector. The team worked tirelessly to minimize site disruption, and we are already seeing savings over and above the estimate, therefore I would recommend this technology to anyone
