Case Study: A Leading Logistics Company based in Glasgow
Existing Technology: Inefficient SON/Metal Halides and external floodlights installed throughout. Light fittings were badly positioned for storage bays and racking aisles, so light was being wasted away from the working areas. No useful sensor system in place with lights on 24/7.
New Technology: EGG Lighting designed and specified low glare, low-watt LED High Bays, Linear High Bays, Vapourproof Battens and Self-Testing Emergency Lighting. We installed a wireless presence and daylight sensor system into the lights that could easily be controlled from the ground.
Capital Cost: £79,834.05
Energy Saving: £38,184.41 per annum
Carbon Saving (tCO2e): 169.2 per annum
Project Payback: 2.55 years
Other Savings: £1,855.57 (annual maintenance savings)
EGG Lighting managed to reduce the number of lights whilst also improving the lighting conditions for our warehouse staff. We are seeing a huge benefit in terms of energy cost savings. I would certainly recommend EGG Lighting for your LED lighting projects.
