Case Study: Automotive Supplier Reduces Compressor Air Costs

Existing Technology: Gear and belt drive, unreliable, inefficient compressed air system without control. Incorrect old compressed air distribution pipework, with an excessive leakage rate.

New Technology: Supplied new direct & invertor drive. Air compressor operating base load/peak load. Supplied New SAM04 compressed Air Manager to efficiently control compressed air station. Installation of new transair 100mm compressed air main, removing leakage rate & improving efficiency of network

Compressor Systems (Wales) carried out a full compressed air energy survey on our existing system. This highlighted significant energy savings could be achieved with a payback period of less than 2.5yrs with the installation of a new inverter drive, fixed speed compressors, including a new SAM04 management system. All equipment installed, commissioned in a very professional and timely manner.

Cwmtillery Glass – Removed old 75KW gear driven oversized rotary screw compressor following a site survey. Replaced with an energy efficient direct drive with inverter, 30KW rotary screw compressor, vastly reducing energy costs on site
