Calling for entries from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study for the OWA Logistics and O&M Technical Working Group (TWG-L) to investigate the development of a common standard for a charging interface between the vessel and the charging solution. The main objectives of this work are to:

• Evaluate the automotive and wider maritime sectors for existing connector solutions, including engaging with the industry to apply insights from existing universal connectors to facilitate the development of an SOV charging solution.
• Create a standardised charging interface design between offshore charging solutions under development and SOVs. The expected benefits of this work are that it will help to support with the successful adoption of SOV offshore charging and accelerate supply chain development by providing a solution to support the market without competing with innovations currently being developed.
• Develop a general arrangement drawing of an SOV universal charging interface (connector plug and receptacle) and establish a clear route to market.
