Floating Wind Joint Industry Programme: Maximum Operating Sea-State Evaluation (MOSE)

Calling for entries from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study with aim of developing a greater understanding of how maximum operating sea states (MOSS) for floating wind turbines can be optimised for wider project implementation.

The Floating Wind JIP would like to:

  • Understand the potential cost saving for unit design by using maximum operating sea-states (MOSS)
  • Define and outline a process by which MOSS can be optimised on a project implementation
  • Evaluate the potential implementations of MOSS within the floating wind unit control architecture
  • Identify a potential solution that requires limited modifications to the overall system (hardware and software)
