TEA: Market Mechanisms to Support Extreme Poor Communities Research Project

Call for Applications

Transforming Energy Access (TEA) invites applications for the launch of our latest research project. One successful applicant or consortium will undertake a research project for the Sustainable Energy for All/Leave No One Behind (LNOB) portfolio's research into the energy needs of vulnerable people globally, living on less than $2.15 per day, referred to as the 'extreme poor'.

This project aims to identify and categorise the ‘extreme poor’ demographic, and secondly to identify and assess the suitability of market-based interventions that could best serve their energy needs. Grant funding of up to £100,000 is available to one successful application and the project will run for 6-months from January – July 2023.
