Calling for entries from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study for the OWA Foundations Technical Working Group (TWG-F) that will investigate the fatigue resistance of ground-flush welds by NDT and FM.
The main objectives of this work are to establish if the output information and statistics from Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of ground-flush welds can be used to define fabricator specific S-N curves.
Furthermore, this project aims to demonstrate, by Fracture Mechanics (FM) or another similar method, the dependence of S-N curves on the size, location, and concentration of defects within ground-flush welds.
