Calling for entries from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study for the OWA Yield and Performance Technical Working Group (TWG-Y) that will investigate the impact of the blockage effect on power curve assessments.
The main objectives of this work are to provide industry guidance and recommendations to rectify the bias of yield estimations due to blockage effect’s impact on power performance testing.
The expected benefits of this work are to increase accuracy in power assessments that will improve confidence for financial investment of utility-scale wind farms, further accelerating the adoption of offshore wind.
