Calling for entries from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study for the OWA Yield and Performance Technical Working Group (TWG-Y) to understand the current state of turbulence intensity measurements from floating LiDAR systems and provide recommendations for turbulence intensity validation from Floating LiDAR Systems.
The main objectives of this work are to:
- Undertake an assessment of TI accuracy from analysis of data
- Develop an overview of methods to improve FLS TI measurements
- Provide recommendations for improving or developing new standards for validating TI FLS
The expected benefits of this work are that the groundwork will begin to be laid to ultimately allow site-specific offshore TI measurements without requiring met masts.
