The Energy Service encourages an estate-wide and multi-technology approach to decarbonisation in public bodies across Wales, supporting projects from concept, through business case development, to completion. Its team analyses energy usage data and undertakes site audits to reduce energy use through a diverse array of projects, including LED streetlamp installations, building energy management systems, fabric upgrades and low carbon heat solutions, helping Wales do more while using less.

The Energy Service can help you shape the optimum approach for decarbonising your buildings – balancing energy efficiency, low carbon heat, renewable generation and EV charging at a building energy system level.

The Energy Service can help with

  • Insulation
  • Control systems
  • Lighting
  • Ventilation

Greg Ducie – Swansea University, Director of Estates and Campus Services

“Swansea University has embarked on an ambitious programme to decarbonise our energy systems as part of efforts to achieve net zero by 2035. We recognise we have a lot of work to do to meet these targets and are grateful for the vital support we received from the Energy Service. By helping us with energy audits and initial financial modelling, we have been able to implement several improvements across the University estate, resulting in annual savings of more than 500 tonnes of CO2e.”
