Robert is a Senior Manager in the Offshore Renewables team at the Carbon Trust, where he leads the creation and delivery of joint-industry projects through our world-leading innovation programmes, such as the Offshore Wind Accelerator.  He is also the lead authority on the topics of grid integration and offshore grid development.  In this role, he has created, and is leading, industry-wide consortia demonstrating how offshore wind can provide stability to the grid (INCENTIVE project) and increase the resilience of the grid (BLADE project), and he is also leading the transition to 132 kV offshore windfarms (Hi-VAS project).  Robert has 14 years of professional experience in energy and innovation.  Before joining the Carbon Trust, Robert worked at the GB energy regulator (Ofgem) and, prior to that, worked in intellectual property law.  He holds an MSci and BA in Physics from the University of Cambridge.
