Marc Mohajer

Senior Associate, Sustainable Finance

Marc Mohajer is a Sustainable Finance Specialist with extensive experience delivering Net-Zero strategies and ESG solutions for financial institutions and corporates. Currently a Senior Associate at the Carbon Trust, he leads on green, social, sustainability, and sustainability-linked (GSS+) bond and loan frameworks globally, conducting ICMA-aligned impact assessments and developing bespoke avoided emissions methodologies. His expertise spans finance emissions assessments, marginal abatement cost modelling, and climate risk/opportunity analysis and research.

Before joining the Carbon Trust, Marc worked as a Graduate Environmental Advisor at Costain, where he managed environmental performance on major infrastructure projects including Crossrail and East Sussex Highways, contributing to the development of ISO 14001 systems for HS2. Marc has consulted on sustainability strategy for the African Development Bank and IIED, focusing on green SME ecosystems and low-carbon construction in Africa. He holds an MSc in Climate Change Finance and Investment from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Reading. He is a certified Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) professional with strong modelling skills and a proven ability to bridge technical analysis with practical, client-focused outcomes.
