Richard’s leadership has been key in the development and delivery of major energy efficiency and renewable energy programmes and has been central to the creation of collaborative, cross-sector initiatives, bringing together national and local governments, philanthropy, development banks, corporates and industry to accelerate the pace and scale of decarbonisation globally.

These programmes are illustrative of Carbon Trust’s systems-wide approach, build on our range of advisory services and have become critical to enabling our clients and partners achieve urgent and ambitious climate action.

In his new role as Deputy CEO, Richard will work closely with our Chief Executive Officer, Michael Rea, and the Carbon Trust leadership team to bring to life the Carbon Trust’s sector centric strategy and drive the success of our business. He will focus on ensuring the Carbon Trust continues to deliver tangible impact for and with our clients and partners.
