Miguel has over 10 years of experience as a sustainability professional. He currently oversees Carbon Trust work in Mexico and supports the implementation of projects for all types of organisations across Latin America and the Caribbean.
He has experience in the design of decarbonisation strategies for corporates (including GHG emissions inventories, science-based and net zero targets, evaluation of mitigation projects, and disclosure in different sustainability frameworks) and in the analysis of carbon pricing instruments for the public sector, with experience in Latin America in countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Belize, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru.
In the past, Miguel held the position of Regional Lead for Latin America in a leading international sustainability firm, directing the implementation of regional mandates, and supporting the design of regional and global business development campaigns.
He is a Chemical Engineer and has a Master of Science in Environmental Systems and a Master in Business Administration.
