Mauricio Riveros


Mauricio works within the Energy Systems team, supporting initiatives across the energy sector in the UK and Latin-America, leveraging his experience in power system analysis, energy markets and policies. He provides advice across public and private sector clients helping them build robust strategic, financial and technical plans for deploying innovative smart energy technologies.

Mauricio worked previously at Chilectra (ENEL distribution branch in Chile), where he was responsible for the definition of the multiannual HV grid development plan for the period 2012-2020, and was Vice-President of the Technical Working group of the Chilean Association of Electrical Companies, responsible for the development of a new National Electrical Industry Safety Regulation in Chile.

Mauricio has an MSc with distinction in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London, an MSc in Electric Engineering from Universidad de Chile, and a Diploma in Climate Change and Innovation from Climate KIC.
