Mauricio Riveros is a Manager in our Energy Systems team. He is an electrical engineer with 14 years of experience in analysis and design of interconnected power systems, electricity market regulation, and the challenges of a systemic integration of smart technologies and distributed energy resources. In the last four years, he has worked in the low carbon energy sector on several projects related to smart grids, integration of renewables and storage for a range of high-profile public and private clients including local governments in the UK, Latin America and Asia.
Previous to the Carbon Trust, he worked on the definition of the 5-years grid investment plan of Chilectra (ENEL distribution Chile) between 2010 and 2015, and was the Vice-President of the Working group of the Chilean Association of Electrical Companies responsible for the definition of a new National Electrical Industry Safety Regulation in Chile.
Mauricio has an MSc with distinction in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London, an MSc in Electric Engineering from Universidad de Chile, and a Diploma on Energy Markets from Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile.
