Liam’s responsibilities at the Carbon Trust include managing the wakes and wind resource working group of Carbon Trust’s Offshore Wind Accelerator as well as the Offshore Renewables Joint Industry Project (ORJIP) for offshore wind, which aims to reduce consenting risk for offshore wind developments to enable the industry to meet capacity targets by 2030. Liam also works on projects providing advisory services to organisations operating across the global offshore wind market.
Liam is a renewable energy development expert who has been involved in over 8GW of renewable energy projects across Europe and Africa covering onshore wind, offshore wind, Solar PV and hybrid energy systems. Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Liam worked for Mainstream Renewable Power as development manager for Africa and project manager for the Hornsea offshore wind farm.
Liam holds a MSc in sustainable energy and the environment from Cardiff University and a BSc in environmental science from the University of Limerick.
