Daniel’s work currently focuses on industrial energy efficiency, energy access and green finance. He has experience in project design, project management and policy analysis in several countries in the Americas, Europe and Africa.
Since joining the Carbon Trust in 2015, Daniel has been involved in a diverse array of sustainability consulting projects, providing strategic advice to corporates, governments and international institutions. Most recently, he has been responsible for managing components under ythe UK DFID Transforming Energy Access (TEA) Programme, which aims to have a transformative impact on deploying renewable energy solutions in developing countries, especially in Africa.
Prior to the Carbon Trust Daniel worked at McKinsey and Company having worked in various projects across USA, Europe and Latin America.
Daniel is fluent in English and Spanish, and holds and MSc Environmental Change and Management from University of Oxford, and a business degree from Universidad de Costa Rica.
