Gina has the dual role of leading the Carbon Trust’s Green Finance Team and acting as the firm’s Investment Director.  She is responsible for bringing the best of the Carbon Trust to a range of green finance activities, including developing frameworks to define what are green investments, quantifying their environmental impacts, and providing assurance and verification against international standards. 

In her role as Investment Director, Gina provides unified management of all Carbon Trust investments, including joint ventures such as the Low Carbon Workplace, where she serves on the board of directors. During her time at the Carbon Trust, Gina also served on the board of directors for a joint venture onshore wind developer focused on public sector landowners, and she has managed a portfolio of investments in early stage cleantech companies.

Based in Washington DC, Gina is responsible for developing the Carbon Trust’s activities with multilateral development banks and US-based philanthropies. She has entrepreneurial experience, having founded and floated her own business on AIM, as well as a background in banking and finance.

Gina holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of California Davis.
