Offshore Wind Accelerator: Robotic Autonomous Systems (RAS)

Calling for entries from companies and consortia interested in undertaking a study for the OWA Logistics and O&M Technical Working Group (TWG-L) that will research and investigate robotic autonomous systems current and future use within the offshore wind industry.

The main objectives of this work are to:

  • Understand current and potential RAS technologies in the offshore wind energy industry.
  • Assess existing RAS legislation and recommend future regulatory requirements to accelerate the deployment of RAS for the offshore wind industry.
  • Develop a RAS innovation competition specification in collaboration with the OWA Logistics TWG to aid the development and deployment of RAS within the offshore wind industry.

The expected benefits of this work are to support technology development of autonomous systems within the offshore wind industry, with the aim of de-risking and accelerating the introduction of technology around robotic autonomous systems.
