Call for entries from companies and consortia to undertake a study looking to understand the different approaches within industry in comparing pre-construction energy yield assessments to post construction analysis.
The difference between wind farm energy yield, pre and post construction, occurs due to a range of factors. Identifying the gaps and inconsistencies in industry practices will allow the potential contractor to outline how the process can be standardised, thereby resulting in a best practice document for the offshore wind industry.
The key objective of this project is to evaluate current state of the art methodologies of undertaking pre-construction energy yield assessments and post construction analysis including the methodology used in comparing the two. Ultimately, a document will be produced that summarises the results and the contributing factors to deviations in ‘predicted’ and ‘actual’ energy yield while also outlining a best practice approach to the aforementioned tasks.
