James Wilde leads the Carbon Trust’s global policy and innovation work, supporting governments, development banks and international organisations with technical expertise and programme management skills in order to accelerate the move to a sustainable, low carbon economy.
With over a decade of experience in climate change issues, from renewable energy to energy efficiency, James has authored over 20 publications that have led to fundamental changes in the policy and market landscape. These publications have included a strategic review of the UK business sector’s energy efficiency and developing the first standard for measuring the carbon footprint of products.
Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, James worked for management consultants McKinsey & Company. James has a PhD in Nanotechnology from the University of Cambridge and a first class degree in Materials Science from the University of Oxford.
