Here are some ways others have partnered with us:
• China-UK Low Carbon Enterprise Co. Ltd.: a joint venture with China Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection Co. Ltd, a large, state-owned enterprise with a remit to invest in low carbon. The JV introduces low carbon technology companies from UK to China; provides business incubation assistance to good UK and Chinese low carbon technology companies and makes venture capital investments.
• Partnerships for Renewables: a joint venture between the Carbon Trust, InfraRed (formerly the HSBC Environmental Infrastructure fund) and OPTrust to develop, construct and operate renewable energy projects on public sector land. Partnerships for Renewables provides a way for public sector bodies to access the economic and environmental benefits associated with renewable energy without diverting public sector resources away from frontline services.
• Low Carbon Workplace: a partnership between the Carbon Trust, Stanhope and Threadneedle to design, build and manage bespoke and contemporary offices for organisations committed to eco-friendly operation. The Low Carbon Workplace partnership acquires 'tired' buildings and updates them to provide modern, financially competitive and energy efficient offices.
• Low Carbon Australia: established by the Australian Government under licence with the Carbon Trust as an independent company with over $100 million initial funding, to provide finance and advice to Australian businesses and the wider community under innovative programs to catalyse investment in, take-up and use of energy-efficient technologies and practices for cost-effective carbon reductions.
The Carbon Trust works on selected carbon reduction programmes on a cost-recovery basis. For more information contact us at enquiries@carbontrust.com
