North America
There are huge opportunities to reduce energy costs, create new industries and reduce carbon emissions across the North America economy through energy efficiency improvements and clean energy technology development and deployment. North America companies, as well as State and Federal organisations, are keen to learn from our experience in the UK and to partner with us in the North America. Current activities include the following:
Product Carbon Footprinting
We are developing measuring and communicating product's carbon footprints (with our Carbon Reduction Label) in North America. This is being led by our work with Pepsi and calculating the carbon footprint of Tropicana in North America. Following early published success with Tropicana, we are engaging with businesses and industry associations across North America to deliver and expand the role of Product Carbon Footprinting in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
