Reducing Scotland's carbon footprint in business and the public sector

At Carbon Trust Scotland, we offer tailored energy saving support to Scottish companies and public bodies.

How we can help your business

We support businesses across Scotland, from large companies to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as they tackle their energy costs, their carbon footprint and make moves towards a sustainable, low carbon economy. For all companies, we provide support through our advice line, online technical content and web tools.

We also provide support through:

  • Web tools
  • Online technical content and publications
  • Our advice line

If you would like our help, give us a call on +44 (0)20 7170 7000.

We also run business breakfasts and workshops to raise energy efficiency awareness and provide information and training around low-carbon technologies.  See our full list of events.

How we support the public sector

We've worked successfully with almost all of Scotland's local authorities, the NHS, universities and colleges, and government and its agencies. This experience has enabled us to create a collection of approaches to help organisations identify, prioritise, plan and implement energy and cost-saving projects.

We provide carbon reduction services specifically designed to meet the needs of the public sector. We work with organisations, individually and collectively, providing advice and implementation support and convening key stakeholders to deliver real carbon savings. We identify and share best practice through technical training events and networking forums. Where opportunities for collaboration arise, we bring together organisations to maximise funding and resources. We help to embed carbon management within corporate policy by understanding and working with public sector organisations at all levels in Scotland.
