In 2007/08 we worked with our customers to identify annual savings of 4.6 MtCO2 which equates to annual cost savings of around £500m.
Our Solutions business catalysed the investment of some £300 million in energy efficiency and low carbon technology by our customers in 2007/08.
We provide a wide range of services to business and the public sector including the following:
Carbon Management
The Carbon Management programme assesses and quantifies emission reduction opportunities that lead directly to action. The programme has now been delivered to over 350 organisations across the private and public sector in the UK.
Strategic Insights
Our new initiative, Strategic Insights, helps Board level business decision makers to evaluate the financial opportunities and risks around climate change and put in place a strategy to limit their exposure and take advantage of the opportunities.
Carbon Survey
Carried out on-site for over 3,500 companies annually, the Carbon Survey provides tailored, expert carbon saving advice, including assistance on building design, for UK businesses.
Financial services
Interest free energy efficiency loans are offered to small-medium sized companies in the UK to help them overcome the capital barriers for the purchase of energy efficient equipment. In 2007/08 we provided companies with over £20 million of interest free energy efficiency loans.
Advice and support
The Carbon Trust has an Advice Centre staffed by dedicated business account managers providing expert energy efficiency advice and services. Last year our Advice Centre handled over 30,000 calls and our website attracted over 600,000 unique users.
