Carbon Trust Insights explains the issues and opportunities surrounding climate change and carbon reduction, developing low carbon strategies that engage business and government.

Strategy and analysis

We provide innovative and detailed analysis for key decision makers including business leaders, policy makers and investors.

We produce detailed reports on key issues such as the EU ETS, Offshore wind and the impact of climate change on company value, in order to help business prepare for the low carbon economy and take advantage of the opportunities it presents.

Publications and reports

In 2007/08, Insights launched its third report on the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and developed the worlds first product carbon footprinting standard, the PAS 2050, with the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and BSI British Standards.

In 2008 we began a series of major reviews including work on offshore wind, the impact of climate change on company value and the commercialisation of low carbon technologies.

Coverage

In 2007/8, we held over 150 Carbon Trust events, welcomed 600,000 unique users to our website and responded to almost 400,000 requests for our reports.
